Episode 3

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The Self Smackdown

Stacy & Stacy walk you through how to confront your Good, Bad, and Ugly using Clint Eastwood's spaghetti Western, Pope Benedict XVI's Spe Salvi, and St. Augustine's Confessions. (Clint's in good company!) This exercise is about digging deep in yourself, through grace, to give all of yourself to Christ so you can then love all of the people in your life. It's about healing all the discord, and it works! Let's get real and kick some devil booty.

Scriptures Quoted:

  • "Or do you hold his priceless kindness, forbearance, and patience in low esteem, unaware that the kindness of God would lead you to repentance?" Romans 2:4
  • "For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—oracle of the LORD—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope." Jeremiah 29:11
  • "...all our just deeds are like polluted rags..." Isaiah 64:5 (NKJV says "...all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.")
